Jim was a huge part of our national championship. He showed us how to shut off our minds, how to relax in pressure situations, and how to play with passion. I learned so much from him: how the mind works, how to become detached from the outcome, how to stay in the now, and all the things that prevent me from doing that. Jim is an amazing coach—I can see why he’s so successful.
Before I started working with Jim I was ready to quit golf. Now I’m having the time of my life.
I really want to tell you that I thought you did a fantastic job last year and that you really, really helped me, most notably towards the end of the season.
You really opened up some eyes. You’ve really got a good thing going.
We couldn’t have done this without you. Thanks for everything.
Jim has been a huge addition to our team. We had a lot of young, inexperienced guys this year and with Jim’s powerful influence, helping us focus, believe, and visualize, we were able to stay in the moment and play with passion. In one of the biggest events of our players’ lives, they played with poise under pressure. Jim had a major role in that, with not just our players but also with the coaching staff. I truly believe the inclusion of Jim Murphy in our program this year was one of the main reasons we became a championship TEAM.
The best coach I’ve ever had.
Jim, I got asked who my biggest inspiration was and who helped me be the best athlete I could be…….YOU where the first person to come to mind. Thanks for your dedication to not only help me live a fulfilled life but reach my full athletic potential.
I am grateful to have met and learned from someone like you. I’ve never met anyone like you. Thanks again and we will keep in touch.
I really appreciate what you’ve done for the team and myself. Your book is one of the best I’ve read and I’ve read a lot of baseball books… Reading your book and speaking with you has made me a better coach.
